New Year’s Day 2019

We are delighted to confirm that we will again be holding an official parkrun event on New Year's Day. Our event will start at the unusually later time of 11am.

It is likely that we will also again team up with our friends at Bushy Dublin parkrun for a 'Double Delight', where parkrunners can actually participate in two parkruns on the same day. The Bushy Dublin event will begin at their usual time of 9:30am.

New Year's Day is the only day where it is possible to partake in two different events and get official credits and finish times. A great start to your new year resolutions!

New Year’s Day

Run Report from Run Director 21st June 2014

On a fine glorious morning I was privileged to be Run Director of Tymon parkruns 2nd Event. It was indeed a very easy task as Aisling , your Event Director and her team ran around doing all the hard work. All i had to do was show up!!!! Not so easy however for Aisling when a certain someone mentioning no names (Avril) dropped the Finish Tokens onto a large pile on the floor - just as our 1st runner was completing his first lap!! I really should't have laughed!! However with a calm composed demeanor Avril with her band of merry women - soon had the situation under control and the Finish Tokens were quickly back in order again. Oh to see what goes on behind the scenes!!

After a pre run briefing the runners and walkers were off leaded on his bike by the dashing Rob!! Who wouldn't want to run with him in front of you!!! I very nearly set of myself!!
First Male across he line was Liam MOLLOY (VM35-39) of Brothers Pearse AC in 16:46. Then Brendan O'CALLAGHAN was second over the line in 17:51. Followed in by James CROWLEY of Tallaght AC, third over the line in 18:21.
First Lady home was Camilla TUFFY of Dundrum South Dublin Athletic Club (38th overall) over the line in 23:51. Followed in by Karen HOPKINS second (39th overall) over the line in 24:02. and then Eimear KILLEEN was third (41st overall) over the line in 24:05.
Well done to each and everyone of you who participated in today's event.
