Tramore Valley parkrun cancelled for rest of 2016

Probably the last update for a while.

Cork City council are only able to consider restarting the event once the park is officially open to the public with an operator onsite to manage events. Due to budget constraints this will most likely not be until early next year.
If anything change in the meantime needless to say we'll put an update here.
Thanks to all the volunteers & participants who've been involved up 'til now.

Tramore Valley parkrun cancelled

Latest update from Cork City council is that parkrun at Tramore Valley is cancelled indefinitely due to access issues with the site. Needless to say we will continue to work with them in an effort to get it restarted but there's no set date by which we expect this to happen.

In the meantime please consider the other parkruns in Co. Cork, nearest one to the city is Castle Demense in Macroom.

If anything changes we'll let you know straight away.

Feb 20th parkrun cancelled

There will be no parkrun at Tramore Valley on Sat 20th unfortunately. We haven't received the report from the health & safety consultant as yet but it should show up in the next few days. After that the volunteer group will work with the City Council to see what we can do to alleviate the concerns.

Keep an eye on Facebook for any updates next week.

Feb 13th parkrun is cancelled

There will be no parkrun at Tramore Valley on Sat 13th. We have concrete proposals with the City Council for some extra parking outside of the park itself which are being investigated by their health & safety consultant but this won't be complete in time for us to hold an event next Sat.

Keep an eye on Facebook for any updates next week.

parkrun for Feb 6th is cancelled

Sorry to say that we won't be able host a parkrun at Tramore Valley park next Sat either due the the City Council's safety concerns regarding the amount of traffic generated by our record turnout on Jan 23rd.
At the moment we don't have any set date when we'll get permission to resume but rest assured the volunteer group will do everything possible to get this fantastic event back up and running.
Stay tuned!
