Thank you so very much to our volunteers this week, Maurice, Beth, Ann, Dean, Maria, Kim, Matthew, Conor and Adrienne, your help is what makes the event happen.
Volunteers are always needed, so don't be shy!

Looking forward to seeing you all again next week,
Happy running

Tramore parkrun #24

Summer is here....hurray. what a lovely morning for the 82 parkrunners who took part this morning. Lots of sunshine and smiling faces. We were delighted to be joined by some tourists from Western Australia and Brazil today and they all enjoyed our course.

Joining us to to help out at short notice was Peter Jones from Waterford Area Sports Partnership. WASP were instrumental in helping us set up our Tramore parkrun initially and we were so delighted to see Peter this am that we gave his a job marshaling, well he did offer and of course we never say no to offers of help!!

Speaking of help over the next few weeks some of the core team will be on holidays so we will be looking for volunteers every week, its easy, its fun and its keep parkrun going for everyone so if you want to help just put your name in the book any Saturday or drop us a message, thanks.

Todays leading young man home was Aidan BURKE (JM11-14) who got the better of Richard HAYES (VM45-49) of Waterford AC, who was second over the line. Aidans mam Jacinta BURKE (VW45-49) was first over the line with
Rachel MOONEY (JW10) (Unattached) was second and Mairead LYONS O DEA was third (26th overall) over the line in 25:50.

Lovely to see the children out running and the parents joining them and its always nice to have the cup of tea and chat after while getting the results completed.

Next week is the Viking Marathon. Tramore parkrun will still go ahead. the full marathon comes to Tramore and up along the prom so if you are parkrunning maby plan to hang around after for a while to give some of the marathon runners a well deserved cheer when thy pass through Tramore.

Have a good week, enjoy the sunshine and happy running,

Deirdre and all the Tramore parkrun team
