Wet and wild Saturday morning.
How many Tolka Valley volunteers does it take to put up a tent?
Lots and then more, that's how many!
The volunteers had a hard job putting up the tent in the wind on Saturday but the run participants truly had a tough job the wind and rain made for tough conditions.
Mark Ecock came in first for the first time, passing Philip Cohen who has finished first on a couple of occasions at Tolka Valley. Aoife Donaghy was first female over the line for the third time, excellent work!
This week 28 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 7 were first timers and 3 recorded new Personal Bests, congrats Mia Deegan, Darren Clarke and Mary Lillis. We had representatives from Civil Service Hrs and AC, Celtic DCH and Team Math Bath.
The event was made possible by 10 volunteers, most of whom helped with the tent.
John Joseph FAY • Miriam KEARNEY • Mary GAVIN • Cliodhna DONAGHY • Margaret HOLDEN • Debbie HENVEY • Joseph MAGUIRE • Karen HENVEY • Samantha FARRELL • Eamonn AHERN
We got a call from Tesco Community fund about the AED so hopefully we're chosen in the next few months.
On December 22nd we're having our Tolka Christmas Chrimbo do after the run, we'll have tea and coffee and sweeties and cakes and chats, feel free to join us whether you're running or not for some community feels, and wear your Santa hat!
