Thanks to everyone who wore blue in support of Dublin City Sportsfest on Saturday! Had I not been fresh of the plane from Canada I may have remembered to take a picture, sure there's always next year. Doh!
There was a great turn out for us on Saturday, we had a tourist from England, Steve who ran his 395th parkrun with us! David our first finisher, ran the course barefoot and was visiting from Queensland, he joined us for his 255th run, serious numbers lads, very impressive!
Deirdre Henchey brought some of the Poppintree massive for a spot of touring, thanks for coming ladies! Hope the Junior parkrun went well on Sunday.
We had a girls team from Erin's Isle join us and really did themselves proud. Great running ladies, come back soon.
This week 44 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 14 were first timers. Some regulars got new PB's, well done Dave, Ger, Debby, Brian, Colm, Ann (first female finisher the last 3 runs), Colin, Kieran, Brid, Elizabeth, Gerry and Mia on New PB's, a Tolka Valley PB is a special thing.
We had representatives from Team Math Bath, Dublin Runners, The Leo Wanker Academy of Fitness, Striders of Croydon and Edenderry AC club Seniors take part.
We love volunteers! You're welcome anytime to try anything. You can be run director, marshal, timekeeper, look after facebook, do this, whatever! Just volunteer, there's no parkrun without people.
The event was made possible by 9 volunteers: Thank you gazillions!
Fiona BYRNE • Laura MURRAY • Jack GLEESON • Sean BRENNAN • Debbie HENVEY • Eamonn AHERN • Karen HENVEY • Samantha FARRELL • Marie BRENNAN

That's it for now, fyi, this Saturday is international parkrun day so bring someone along and introduce them to the parkrun feeling
