Run Report – Event #219 – 27/01/2018

Our morning started off with 446 parkrunners arriving to run their weekly 5k fix. 43 were first timers and 60 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 19 different clubs took part.

We all welcomed the Operation Transformation crew who where attending our wonderful event at St. Anne’s parkrun. We had our local Operation Transformation Leader Felicity Moroney in attendance accompanied by Kathryn Thomas and Rebecca Fox who were onsite to encourage and support Felicity every step of her way. Such an inspirational morning. Everyone at St. Anne’s parkrun is so proud of you, well done Felicity.

The atmosphere was electric as our pacers lined up to guide everyone around the parkrun route and encourage you all to reach your target goals. Thanks to Damien, Michael, Dylan, Keith, Richie, Eleanor, Una and Laura who all did a fabulous job.

Huge celebrations for our parkrun milestone recipients. A stalwart and Run Director on our Core Team, Ann Marie Graham celebrated her 100th parkrun in style with husband Greg, her sister Sarah and pal Christina to enjoy the run alongside her.

Philip Harrison also completed his 100th parkrun today, 77 of these runs where completed in the lovely St. Anne’s park.

Simon Diab and Pawel Luczejko both completed their 50th parkrun milestones. Simon has completed 43 runs at St. Anne’s and Pawel has completed 41 runs.

Well done to the students from 100 minds for Temple Street who completed their 5k run at this mornings event.

Electric atmosphere at Event #188 for PACER Saturday at St. Anne’s.    Thank you to the pacers, Damien, Simon, Jamie, Eamon, Keith, Dylan, Una, Richie, Denis and Johnny awesome job and some lovely feedback on our facebook page for you.

 

Congratulations to Elaine Smyth who celebrated her 50th parkrun milestone, superb achievement, well done.

 

Happy  Birthday to regular parkrunner Kate Martin who was celebrating a milestone birthday.  We hope you enjoyed your celebrations.

 

We welcomed Holly Carpenter, some of our parkrunner’s learned about VeeByVhi from Holly & Rob.  They learned that VeeByVhi is a chatbot which gives lots of recipes, tips & tricks to help you on your running journeys.

 

Warm St. Anne’s welcome to our 1ST timers & visitors from Bristol, Grainne & Liam we hope you enjoyed the route & we hope to welcome you again.

This week 337 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 39 were first timers and 82 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 24 different clubs took part.

Male placings:
Aidan JONES (SM25-29) of Piranha TC, was first over the line in 17:28 - 13th time in 34 appearances.
Martin MCKENNA (SM25-29) (Unattached) was second over the line in 17:28 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.
Graham O'DWYER (SM20-24) of Raheny Shamrock AC, was third over the line in 17:34 - has been first to finish on 4 previous occasions.

Female placings:
Elaine MCNULTY
(VW40-44) of Raheny Shamrock AC, was first (16th overall) over the line in 19:42 - second time in 17 appearances.
Crona BRADY (SW30-34) of Sportsworld, was second (21st overall) over the line in 19:58 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.
Nicola MOONEY (VW35-39) of Raheny Shamrock AC, was third (34th overall) over the line in 21:07.

The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Mary LYNCH (VW65-69) – 91.13% for the time 22:56 (65th overall).
Juliet PURVIS (JW10) – 84.02% for the time 24:18 (104th overall).
Jean DUNNE (VW55-59) – 83.35% for the time 22:01 (51st overall).

The female record is held by Aoife TALTY who recorded a time of 00:16:51 on 28th September 2013 (event number 1).
The male record is held by Mick CLOHISEY who recorded a time of 00:14:46 on 6th May 2017 (event number 181).
The Age Grade course record is held by Mary LYNCH who recorded 92.68% (22:33) on 13th May 2017 (event number 182).

St Anne's parkrun started on 28th September 2013. Since then 8,078 participants have completed 49,840 parkruns covering a total distance of 249,200 km, including 9,595 new Personal Bests.
