Run Report – Event #140 – 23rd July 2016

This week there were 289 runners, of whom 47 were first timers and 34 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 19 different athletics clubs took part.


Shout outs- Congratulations to "Megan Nolan" who is a regular parkrunner with her dad, Barry. Megan reached her MILESTONE for the JUNIOR 10 runs two weeks ago so big shout out to you.


Denis Murphy who was volunteering on finish tokens today is our St. Anne's parkrunner of the Month, thanks for volunteering & well done on you achievement. You can check out Denis's interview on the news section of our web page or check out the post on facebook.


Colum O' Leary from Raheny Shamrocks Athletic Club was our 1st male and Siobhan Eviston also a Raheny Shamrocks athlete was our 1st female.


Our 1st Junior was Philip Mc Carton (age 10) who was visiting St. Anne's parkrun from Mullingar. Super performance.


Our Token #98 athlete is Des Shiels.  Welcome to the #98 Hall of Fame.


Thanks parkrunners for giving Joe Keane & all the troops from The Irish Times newspaper a warm St. Anne's welcome. Great job on completing your 5k Fun Run this morning.


We also welcomed a group of runners from Coast Road Running Club, we hope to see you again.


Congratulations to one of our Run Director's - Jamie Plummer on the arrival of her baby daughter Ciara. Jamie & Anto visited us this morning & baby Ciara had her 1st introduction to parkrun.


Can't emphasise how important our volunteers are to parkrun. So thanks for stepping up each week & helping make our parkrun an enjoyable event.

Rory HEARNE (VM35-39) (Unattached) was second over the line in 18:10.
Conor RING (SM20-24) (Unattached) was third over the line in 18:12.

Siobhan EVISTON (SW30-34) of Raheny Shamrocks AC, was first (4th overall) over the line in 18:14 - 4th time in 4 appearances.
Lynne HENNESSY (SW25-29) of Rathfarnham WSAF, was second (10th overall) over the line in 19:16.
Ciara WILSON (SW25-29) (Unattached) was third (12th overall) over the line in 19:43 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.

The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores:

Siobhan EVISTON (SW30-34) was graded 81.35% for the time 18:14 (4th overall).
Philip MC CARTAN (JM10) was graded 79.78% for the time 19:47 (15th overall).
Jean DUNNE (VW55-59) was graded 77.46% for the time 23:22 (66th overall).


St Anne's parkrun started on 28th September 2013, and since then 6,207 different runners, including participants from 208 athletics clubs, have completed 34,507 runs covering a total distance of 172,535 km, and there have been 7,154 new Personal Bests.


The female record is held by Aoife TALTY who ran in a time of 00:16:51 on 28th September 2013 (event number 1).

The male record is held by Mark KIRWAN who ran in a time of 00:15:03 on 26th July 2014 (event number 41).
The Age Grade course record is held by Mick TRAYNOR who recorded a 91.78% run (15:49) on 28th September 2013 (event number 1).
