Run Report #180 - 29th April 2017
This morning we hosted parkrun Event #180 at St. Anne’s park. Thankfully the weather stayed nice and dry for this morning’s parkrun.
It was a hub of activity as it was our famous Pacer Saturday plus we had a good few St. Anne’s parkrunner milestones being celebrated in St. Anne’s Style – balloons, feather boa’s & the “Car Far” lap of honour started off our milestone celebrations for Jenny Colbert celebrating 100 runs, Sinead Lyons & our junior parkrunner, Juliette Dowd celebrating both their 50th runs. Juliette we didn’t spot you in the crowd when we announced your milestone achievement, we did have feather boa & balloon for you too but if you would like your picture snapped next week let us know, we love our parkrunners celebrating their milestones. Congrats to all on their superb achievements.
All of our parkrun first timers got their lovely St. Anne’s welcome this morning along with our parkrun tourists from Castlebar/ Westport, Co. Mayo parkruns – Freddie & Ger Collins. We hope you enjoyed your visit.
Our newest member to the Token 98 Hall of Fame is Ben Kokjohn.
Congrats to Colm Kernan, Dan Wallace & Fia Moore on completing London Marathon recently.
Shout out to our Event Director Jamie Killeen and parkrunners Ciaran O’Conluain & Gary Kenny who are participating in Limerick Marathon & Half Marathon this weekend. St. Anne’s parkrun send each one of you the Best of Luck.
Think you will all agree that our legendary pacers did a superb job today, we hope that they helped you reach your Happy Pace.
Our finish funnel was extremely busy this morning but this was well looked after by #keepyourplace crew – Orla Byrne, Christy Reilly & Eva O’Beirne. Thanks for keeping everyone in the correct order coming through the funnel.
Our parkrun only functions with the help of you guys, so we love hearing from you on our email- firstname.lastname@example.org or on facebook.
So don’t forget, if you do want to lend a hand but don’t want to give up your run, Token Sorting is one of the volunteer roles that allows you to run & volunteer.
