St Anne’s parkrun - Event number 256 -3rd November 2018
Thankfully the weather was on our side for event number 256 at St. Anne’s. We celebrated many events.
Shout out to our regular parkrunners who reached their 100 milestone – well done Rachel Ormrod (who dodged the lovely celebration head band and the feather boa, we will have to get her on the next one), also congrats to Brendan Atkins on reaching the big 100.

Welcome to our visitors from Rickmansworth parkrun in London. Matt and Hannah a big St. Annes welcome and delighted to hear you enjoyed the route. Hopefully we can welcome you both again.
Susan Brodigan arrived at parkrun this morning in full hen party attire. Susan we hope you have a fab day & delighted you started you hen party off with a good aul parkrun.
We had a huge gathering of all our DCM 2018 participants wearing their fab finisher tops, massive well done to each and everyone of you. Round of applause to all the marathon runners, pacers, cheerleaders and bag drop volunteers – we have a wonderful community event here and so nice to see everyone out to encourage and help out in some shape or form.
Nice to acknowledge and congrats to National medal recipients for DCM this year, few of our regular parkrunners received these. Congrats to Caroline, Rose, Mary L, Elaine, Mary W, Tara & Mick – you are all awesome.
This week 465 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 46 were first timers and 35 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 20 different clubs took part.
Our volunteers were amazing as usual and some doubling up on volunteer roles and some running and jumping in to volunteering after, huge thank you. The event was made possible by 21 volunteers:

The female record is held by Aoife TALTY who recorded a time of 16:51 on 28th September 2013 (event number 1).
The male record is held by Mick CLOHISEY who recorded a time of 14:46 on 6th May 2017 (event number 181).
The Age Grade course record is held by Mary LYNCH who recorded 94.58% (22:26) on 29th September 2018 (event number 251).
St Anne’s parkrun started on 28th September 2013. Since then 10,542 participants have completed 75,866 parkruns covering a total distance of 379,330 km, including 13,379 new Personal Bests.
