St. Annes park run Event 241 21st July

Another enjoyable park run back in St. Anne’s after our break for the rose festival. The park looked great basking in the summer sun shine.
A special mention to all the volunteers listed below, we all really appreciate your efforts. The roster was looking a bit bare but thanks to a number of great people that came forward on the day, park run went very smoothly.
A BIG SHOUT OUT to Lucy Barrett who was completing her Gaisce Gold president’s award today. She has volunteered over 70 times in all kinds of weather with great enthusiasm. We will miss her and hope to see her back running and volunteering again soon. She volunteered during her leaving certificate exams and also took on the role of guest run director. We wish her well in her future endeavors.
Keith Fleming celebrated his 200th Park run. Amanda Groarke was our 98th park runner.
389 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 37 were first timers and 60 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 14 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 19 Super volunteers:
