The week started with a roster that was 90% full - dream week.
1 shout out on Thursday and bingo, full roster and an RD that slept easy the whole week. Then to top it all off the sun shone and the temperature spiked on Saturday morning.
We had 411 sun worshippers that hit the tarmac for their weekly parkrun fix and they were looked after by the amazing 26 volunteers who stood on corners, clicked the watches, scanned the barcodes, organised the new v funnel and gave out and sorted tokens.
Cherie Hyland became the centre of attention for her 100th parkrun so massive congratulations to Cherie - it is a great milestone, well earned.
The latest member of the 98 club is John Kerins.
We were delighted to welcome Nadine as our VIP, who was guided through the course by Jenny. There was an admission at the end that the chatting may have taken precedence over the time aspect but sure what else would you do on such a glorious day. Nadine is the first Visually Impaired participant since the roll out of the guide training and we thank her for coming to our park and hope that there are many more VIPs who will visit. We have a large number of trained guides and we can cater for almost any requirement in terms of time ranges for VI runners / walkers.
Remember the rules - don't forget your barcode and don't bring the token home.
Thank you all again for a great morning, it was a privilege to co-ordinate the day and thanks again to the magnificent volunteers - you made my day so straight forward and comfortable.
Here come the stats.
