St. Anne’s parkrun Event #143, 13th August 2016

Great day at St. Anne's on Saturday - lovely to see over 300 runners descend upon the park for the 143rd running of our fabulous event. Craig McMullen (100), Alan O'Flynn and Brian Hanney (50) were celebrating milestone runs, and no better day for it. The field was led home by Alan and Eamon Traynor, who crossed hand in hand before exchanging a warm, sweaty embrace. On the female side, Lucy Barrett blazed the trail, leading home the ladies.

Thanks to all our volunteers this week - in particular those who participated in an impromptu token sort at the start of the run... yes, more than 400 tokens came off the token stacker and had to be put back on, in order, which they were, before the first runners came in. Well done to everyone on the courage under pressure!

Thanks also to Valerie for all the photos - check out the facebook page for more details.

Advance notice - our third birthday party will take place on 1st October - mark it in your diary.
