Run report run no 129: 01/02/20

Happy St Bridgids day to you! Or rather happy first day of Spring 2020! It was a blustery but dry morning out in Poolbeg for the 262 people who ran, jogged and walked with us today. Of these a whopping 72 were first timers and of those returning 35 recorded new PBs, which is no mean feat considering the wind. Representatives of 18 different running and triathlon clubs took part.

One of our regular runners and volunteers Niamh clocked up her 50th run today. Congrats Niamh on reaching this milestone, looking forward to seeing you in your red T-shirt soon!

Today was made possible by RD Ashley and his team of 14 volunteers. Thanks very much to all for making Poolbeg parkrun possible, we wouldn’t be able to do it without you! We had a good number of visitors today, with some of them heading to the rugby match this afternoon. Hope you enjoyed your Dublin parkrun and that you will enjoy your stay and the match!

We lost a few tokens today-if you find one of these in your pocket or the filter of the washing machine, can you please bring them back next weekend? Finish tokens are property of parkrun and we reuse them every week, replacing a few each week costs us money so please don’t take the tokens home!!! Numbers to be on the lookout for: 189, 196 and 208.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you next week for more parkrun fun!
