Christmas Day & New Year’s Day no Parkruns at Oldbridge

There will be no Parkruns taking place on Christmas Day or New Year's Day at Oldbridge Parkrun.  Seasons greetings to all.

Ho Ho Ho! Oldbridge parkrun celebrates 6 months on the Winter Solstice

Ho! Ho! Ho! It's time to dig-out the Santa Hats for Saturday's Oldbridge parkrun!

We just need one more volunteer for Saturday morning. We also need a number of volunteers for the following week (27th). If you can help at either, please let us know by emailing

It would be great to get the 27th filled prior to Christmas if at all possible so our volunteer co-ordinators can take a wee break!

We're all set and looking forward to the Winter Solstice parkrun on Saturday morning. It's hard to believe that the weekend will mark 6 months of Oldbridge parkrun!
We are hoping for a big turnout to mark the event in the Boyne Valley so please join us in walking/running the 5k course and bring family/friends along with you.
It is also the last run before Christmas and we are encouraging all to get into the festive spirit. Feel free to bring along a Santa hat, Christmas jumper or some other festive gear and get your 5km in before all the turkey, ham and Christmas pudding on the big day!
A huge thanks to all who have taken part and volunteered for Oldbridge parkrun over the last 6 months and helped make the event a success. We look forward to seeing you all running the course in 2015!

Carparking changes for Winter months

Some changes to parking arrangements for the winter months, starting next Saturday, 25th October.

Parking for parkrunners will move from the grass lawn on the right, to the main carpark at the end of the drive. On Saturday when you enter the venue, instead of turning off the drive onto the grass, please drive all the way through to the Main Car Park and make your way down to the bottom parking bays, so we can fill the car park from the bottom up.

This arragement will be in place every Saturday over the winter until further notice. We could do with a few marshals on Saturday to help with the new traffic arrangements, if you'd like to volunteer....  :)

See you Saturday!

Carparking on Saturday – Important Notice!

Just a heads up to those planning on driving to Oldbridge this coming Saturday 27th September. There is another event on and they will be taking up part of the overflow carpark where we normally park. Consequently, parkrunning drivers will take the same turn off to the right onto the grass area as normal, but instead parking in the first available spot, please proceed on down towards the old farmhouses and fill the carpark from there back instead.

The other event will have an area cordoned off, so please don't block access to this area or park in it.

This is also an appeal for marshals in the morning to help make this work as smoothly as possible - so if you can help out, please come along a little before 9am and nab one of the team and/or let us know at! You can still do the run, we'll hold off till all the cars are in

Many Thanks, see you Saturday!
