Farewell to Killarney parkrun at Muckross

Please note that Killarney parkrun at Muckross stopped last week on Saturday 13 July after 210 parkruns there.

From Saturday 20 July there will be a new parkrun at Killarney House, Mission Road, Killarney, V93 HE3C.

parkrun is a free, timed 5km run, jog or walk every Saturday at 9:30am.

Please come and walk, jog or run the new 3 lap course but make sure that you register first at https://www.parkrun.ie/register/?section=form and bring your printed barcode to every parkrun.

You can find more information on Killarney House parkrun at https://www.parkrun.ie/killarneyhouse/

Many thanks to the 3,200 people who ran, jogged or walked 10,863 parkruns at Muckross. The average number of runners over the 4 years was 51.7 per week and the biggest attendance was 146. We hope that the move into town will improve on those figures.

The female record at Muckross was 18:09 set by Carol Finn on 05 November 2016 and the male record a swift 15:48 by Matthieu Marshall on 08 July 2017.

As the town course is flat it will be interesting to see how soon those records are broken.
