Please note from this Saturday. No barcode - No time. We have been known in certain circumstances to manually put in barcodes. But our volunteers spend enough time processing results without the time it takes to manually put in barcodes. So from now on No barcode - No time - No exceptions. We also do not accept barcodes on mobile phones. It may seem harsh but I'm only looking after our volunteers.
Well our LBD (Laminating Barcode Day) has gotten off to a good start. If you would like to get your barcode laminated then please bring, after the run, an A4 sheet with your barcode clearly printed next Saturday and the fallowing few Saturdays to Insomnia Cafe in Dunnes Stores shopping centre, Gorey. Please do not pre-cut your A4 barcode page as it makes it very difficult to laminate.

We, the core team, received a newsletter from parkrun reporting how difficult this time of year is to recruit volunteers. So I'm sorry for being so dramatic but when panic mode sets in lol I have to act. So as Event Director I personally thank you.
We have a shortfall of volunteers for Saturday. If we don't fill them then we can't go ahead. Please don't let this happen. We've worked too hard to let this fail. We need a scanner. We need someone to hand out finish tokens. We really need four marshals. If we get these, then we're sorted. Your parkrun needs you.
Hi everyone. When I started up parkrun in Gorey it was partly for selfish reasons. I wanted to meet people with similar interests A-and somewhere I could run. Well I'm back to running after a year of injury from a broken ankle. I've finally been given the all clear. So I did my first 5k with Gorey parkrun last Saturday. I was chuffed with my time 39:49. How's about that??

I'd like to thank everyone who came along to the pub quiz last night. We really appreciate your support. I would particularly like to thank our core team who worked tirelessly for our parkrun. Adele John Gareth Tamsin and our new members Suzanne Stuart and Angus. Our quiz master on the night Roisin and her able assistant Kevin. All of the above mentioned are the people who volunteer on Saturday too. We really need to widen the net of people who can step in when members of the core team are unavailable. So please give our volunteers a big thumbs up for all their hard work. Thank you guys
