Fairview parkrun Run Report event # 127 ' Happy New Year  everyone - Fantastic  start to 2020 at Fairview parkrun '

Everyone at Fairview parkrun would like to wish our participants and volunteers a very happy and healthy New Year and continued success in your parkrun journey. Our first event of 2020 welcomed 151 people who walked, ran and jogged our course , of whom 35 were first timers and 19 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 15 different clubs took part.We also welcomed many first time participants completing their first parkrun and parkwalk event including Laurence ,Saoirse, Mary and Bill .We had visitors from neighbouring parkruns including St.Annes, Father Collins and Rob from Wales thanks to everyone for visiting and participating in Fairview parkrun.

Milestones Celebrations at Fairview parkrun

Well done to Laura -Line Blateyron marking her 10th , Conor Pendergrast, Jane Mitchell completing 20 events , Vinny OReilly on his 30th and Edel Leahy on her 80th event .

We would like to thank and acknowledge Bruce and his team from the NEIC/ Dublin City Council  ( North Inner City Team)for the successful application for funding for our own AED device which will be delivered this week .

parkrun Ireland are delighted to announce that in partnership with the Irish College of General Practitioners, parkrun will now be teaming up  with parkrun Ireland to promote community based physical activity we will forging links with our local GP / primary care services to become 'parkrun practices'.

Can we continue to request that each participant can consider volunteering at our event we ask that our participants always bring their printed /flatband barcodes  #DFYB and to come 1 in 10 events  to contribute to Fairview parkun .

2019 Fairview parkrun a quick look at the year !

 Fairview parkrun started on 15th July 2017. Since then 3,415 participants have completed 11,643 parkruns covering a total distance of 58,215 km, including 2,085 new Personal Bests. A total of 302 individuals have volunteered 1,815 time

The male record is now held by Graham RUSH who recorded a time of 15:50 on 27th July 2019 (event number 104).

 The Age Grade course record is held by Bobby BEDFORD who recorded 85.30% (18:29) on 14th September 2019 (event number 111).

We wish our volunteers, participants and parkrun Ireland continued success for 2020.
