Event 215

 Castletown parkrunabú  #215

baile an chaisleáin parkrunabú #215

Last Saturday saw 231participants who had to experience avoiding the large puddles and the strong winds coming up towards the finish line.

Dé Sathairn seo Maite bhí 231 rannpháirtí a raibh orthu taithí a fháil ar na locháin mhóra a sheachaint agus ar na goath láidir a bhí ag teacht suas i dtreo na líne deiridh.

We had a few first-timers including ‘Get Clane Fit’ and parkrun tourists from Cabinteely, Dundalk and Darndale parkrun. Hope you enjoyed your visit to Castletown and we hope to see you all again very soon.

Bhí cúpla duine ag obair againn as dtús lena n-áirítear ‘Get Clane Fit’ agus turasóirí parkrun ó Chábán tSíle, Dún Dealgan agus parkrun Darndale. Tá súil agam gur bhain tú sult as do chuairt go Baile an Chaisleáin agus tá súil againn go bhfeicfidh tú sibh go lir args go luath.

We had a couple of parkrun milestones to celebrate: Joan Barron completed her 100th parkrun and an unofficial milestone for Laura Murray who completed 150 parkrun with 100 completed at Castletown parkrun.

Bhí cúpla clochmhíle parkrun againn chun ceiliúradh a dhéanamh: chríochnaigh Joan Barron a 100ú páirc pháirce agus Bloch mhíle neamhoifigiúil do Laura Murray a chríochnaigh 150 páirc imeartha le 100 críochnaiuthe i bpáircriam bhaile an chaisleáin.

We would also like to thank Nikki for making the fantastic “first timers brief” through Irish and Aoife for the excellent “main brief” for us in Irish as well.

Freisin go raibh míle maith agat Nikki as ucht an “first timers brief” iontach a dhéanamh trí gaeilge agus do Aoife don “main brief” den scoth a dhéanamh dúinn as gaeilge comh maith (Written by Alicia Ashmore)

Thanks to Google translate and Alisha Ashmore for their contributions to the run report (Regretfully for me on occasions like this, Canadian education system did not include Irish in its curriculum).

Buíochas le Google a aistriú agus Alisha Ashmore as a gcuid ranniocaíochtaí leis an tuarascáil reatha (Níor chuimsigh córas oideachais cheanada an Gheailge ina churaclam).

Look forward to seeing you all next parkrun day!

Táim ag tnúth le tú a fheiceáil gach lá páirceála eile!
