Kick-offs, Run Offs, and parkrun

Castletown parkrun #194

Last Saturday saw 137 participants.
Not even the Ireland vs Japan Rugby match couldn’t compete with these die-hard parkrunners or our magical volunteers!

We had a few first-timers and parkrun tourists from as far away as Oakland, California to a group of ladies from nearby Griffeen parkrun.
Hope you enjoyed your visit to Castletown and we hope to see you all again very soon. We had a few parkrun milestones to celebrate:
Colette Reilly's 50th parkrun and our own tail walker Mary Kiernan’s 100th parkrun. Many cogratulations guys!
P194_tailwalker Colette Reilly brought treats!

Overall, though the morning started out quite overcast and threatened to rain it turned out to be perfect morning for running and volunteering. So no excuses for next week…..well….we might have to see what happens after Lorenzo’s visit later this week.

Looking forward to seeing you all next parkrun day!
