parkrun #173        - "There is always hope"

            A long
           time ago
          in Castletown
      where the parkrun that was
held on May 04th, seem so far, far away.
267 of you lined up behind the start line to walk,
run or jog the 5 km on the cold but sunny morning.

[ May 04th was 'Star Wars Day' - so imagine a John Williams score playing in the background, and the text above scrolling off-screen ]

We enjoyed celebrating a couple of milestones with both Arlene and Kevin celebrating their 50th parkrun - Congratulations to you both! I hope everyone enjoyed the selection of cakes back in the café afterwards.

We had birthday celebrations for another parkrunner as well today. We hope you enjoyed your parkrun and enjoyed the rest of your day. Happy Birthday and May the 4th be with you (had to sneak that in somewhere)!

Thanks to our volunteers who stepped up in the last few days and for all those who have signed up to volunteer over the coming couple of weeks. We really appreciate your efforts to give back so that we can continue to keep parkrun going. There are roles for everyone so please don’t be shy and give back - simply e-mail castletown@parkrun.com
Look at the happy bunch below!
