Our 87 runners enjoyed perfect running conditions at Naas Racecourse this morning! This was reflected in the high number of PB's this week - 48 in total, what an achievement! First across the line BREAKING THE COURSE RECORD was David Keenan from Newbridge AC with an amazing time of 16:19 - we'll be expecting lots of challengers for this time over the summer ;). Amy McGrath was our first lady across the line with a PB of 21:10. Our first two juniors across the line Mark Glynn and Jack Fitzgerald also recorded PB's this week - fantastic running guys.
Gerry Halton from Naas AC was on hand this morning for a great warm-up and some very helpful running tips for our all our parkrunners! Thanks a million Gerry and best of luck to you and all other Naas AC athletes taking place in the Kildare Masters taking place in Celbridge later today.
We'd also like to thank all our volunteers this week - Catherine Barry, Claire Craughwell and Cathy McVicker. Mark also came 3rd in the All - Ireland 800 metres last weekend. Well done Mark. Sharon Grant, also of Portlaoise AC, was our 1st lady home in 19.18. Sharon now holds the women's record. Great running Sharon. We hope to see you again soon. This week saw thirty runners record new PB's. A fantastic achievement by all.
