Week 197 Kilkenny parkrun Saturday 18th August 2018

This week 161 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 23 were first timers and 17 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 12 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 21 volunteers:

Lots of visitors today from , UK (Winslow, Brighton and Nottingham),  locals from Navan!

Well done to visitor Imelda Dooley who completed her 100th parkrun  and Liz Feehan who completed her 50th parkrun here at kilkenny today

Best wishes to Liz and Adam from Kilkenny and Nottingham who joined us this morning ahead of their wedding this afternoon. Hope ye have a fantastic day and a long and happy life together.

Week 196 – Kilkenny parkrun Saturday 11th August 2018

This week 154 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 34 were first timers and 28 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 17 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 20 volunteers - thank you !.  Thanks to those today who came forward to volunteer we appreciate it.

Lots of visitors today from Toowoomba (Australia), UK (Bristol, Surrey, Kent, Southampton, |Coventry), Spain and locals from Clonakilty and Vicarstown!

Well done to visitor Teresa (Brennan) Waller who completed her 100th parkrun here at kilkenny today.

Local events include Castlewarren 5mile and 3Km fun run tomorrow at noon.

Week 195 – Kilkenny parkrun Saturday 4th August 2018

This week 158 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 34 were first timers and 21 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 17 different clubs took part.

Please note due to a dodgy Stopwatch some times maybe out by a position. Sorry about that but technical errors do happen and we trust you all enjoyed the run/walk.

Lots of visitors today from Australia, Essex, Yorkshire, Edinburagh  and welcome to Elaina Peralta Aquino who has recently moved here for work from the Dominican Republic!

Congrats to Paddy Dillon Keane - one of our Kilkenny parkrun Core Team Members and regular volunteer (98 times to date at volunteering) who walked his first parkrun today!! First of many Paddy!

Welcome to Neal from Intersport and local staff from Intersport Elvery shop along with our TJ Reid with Lee and Ross from Brooks Running #RunHappyBrooks who will be at the shop this morning promoting their new Brooks Ghost  Runner and providing goodie bags and plenty of refreshments and 25% discount today to all with parkrun Barcode IDs!

Thanks also to Gordon and Chris  from AV3 Limited who did the very discreet filming today, we looking to seeing same in time.

Week 194 – Kilkenny parkrun Saturday 28th July 2018

This week 149 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 21 were first timers and 24 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 14 different clubs took part.

Thanks to all who volunteered today especially visitor Carl Assmundoon (London) who helped us set up, ran in first and then volunteered at scanning!  If this is something you could do, don't be shy:)  Also thanks to those who came forward today to help us rotate the roles.

Congratulations to Emily Twyford who celebrated her 10th run Milestone with her cousins visiting from Dublin and she has signed up to volunteer next week with her Mum and Sister!
